Alison Phillips is a distinguished figure in British journalism, having held the position of Editor-in-Chief at the Mirror for an impressive six years. Under her leadership, the Mirror was honoured as Daily Newspaper of the Year and News Media Organisation of the Year in 2022. Phillips' tenure was marked by the publication's prowess in breaking significant political stories, including the widely covered 'Partygate' scandal.

Her Role at MHP Group

Phillips joins the Strategic Media team at MHP Group, which is led by Keith Gladdis, a former Daily Mail News Editor. The team is renowned for its specialist advice and support to a diverse client base, with members who have expertise in various sectors such as health, science, finance, politics, and technology.

In her new role, Phillips will also lend her expertise to MHP’s Public Affairs team, providing valuable Labour Party insights. Her appointment follows the recent addition of Lisa Hunter, former Deputy CEO of the Government Communications Service, as MHP’s Head of Strategic Communications.
