Making of Mailchimp Academy

Beyond developed an award-winning online academy for Intuit Mailchimp’s agency users to increase their knowledge of the platform and earn certification.

Intuit Mailchimp is an email and marketing automations platform for growing businesses.

Problem.

Because of their proven record building learning experiences for the likes of Google, Meta, and Snap, Mailchimp approached Beyond to build an academy for their agency users. The goal was to get agency users certified to use the platform more effectively and for more marketing tasks.

Solution.

Over the course of a year, Beyond built and launched Mailchimp Academy from the ground up — they planned users’ learning pathways, co-created training content with Mailchimp’s marketers, and developed the visual identity of the experience that aligned with Mailchimp’s expressive brand identity.

Results.

Within months of the initial launch:

  • Over 1,800 users were enrolled
  • 100+ users were Mailchimp-certified

And those numbers continued to grow.

Mailchimp Academy was also recognized as a 2020 Platinum Hermes Creative Award winner.

With their learning expertise and collaborative approach, Beyond helped us create a learning product we’re proud of and that will further strengthen our partner program.
