Mondelez - Cadbury FC x Grenfell Athletic

To activate Cadbury’s partnership with Grenfell Athletic FC, Next 15 brand, elvis, brought 14 professional football clubs together to build a Common Ground for the team, culminating in a football match to celebrate the launch of the new pitch.

Mondelez - Cadbury

Goal.

Our goal was to harness Cadbury’s core values of community, heritage and generosity by activating Cadbury FC’s partnership with Grenfell Athletic FC - the club born from tragedy. To do this, we rallied 14 of the UK’s top football clubs, encouraging them to put their rivalries aside and pledge their support for another team. From goalposts and dugouts, to training equipment, ground staff and more, the clubs’ donations built a common ground for Grenfell Athletic FC. We created a launch film, a ‘Club Pardon’ signed by our club partners, and amplified the campaign across out of home, digital, social and email.

Results.

Through this campaign we engaged 800k+ fans and raised over £10,000 in donations, along with assets, equipment and expertise donated by club partners.

It meant a huge amount to elvis to be involved in this important initiative. The work really highlights how important Grenfell Athletic FC is to the community, and clearly shows how Cadbury FC is more than just a sponsor – it’s a partner.
